Meet the team

Serving The Greater Libby Montana Area Since 1993

Our capabilities allow us to expertly serve our local communities needs in site prep, clearing and grubbing, grading, aggregate sales, concrete supply, asphalt and paving services, demolition, hauling, and much more. We are also construction professionals that execute large projects from mass excavation, railroad work, utility company projects, to Federal and State government contracts in Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon.

Our Story

Incorporated in 1993, Noble Excavating has been a leader in all things Heavy Civil Construction.  What started out with a dump truck and backhoe, has grown into a full service, thriving, multi-talented, company with a fleet of heavy machinery and trucks.  Chris Noble has led the charge with his drive and vision for the growth of the company. Over the years we have started a paving division with the purchase of a brand-new asphalt plant and paving equipment, we purchased an Aggregate Crushing company and began a crushing division, and most recently we purchased a new concrete batching plant and concrete mixer trucks to round out the family!

Our company has a history of completing a variety of construction projects on-time and on budget, ranging from heavy highway, infrastructure, water, sewer, site prep, environmental cleanups, numerous USFS projects, railroad emergency response, asphalt and paving, and concrete supply and delivery.

We respond to the challenges and expectations of our customers through open communication and strong work ethics. Customers can count on us to utilize the latest technology and construction practices to satisfy their construction needs.

We are proud that our business has persevered through the tough times and thrived in the best of times.  Through it all, we have become stronger, more knowledgeable, and over time, have grown into what we are today!

Testimonials

Noble has made great progress removing the temporary fill. They’re being very careful and mindful to minimize impacts to the lakebed, which is really wonderful. So very appreciated! I mean, it IS a permit condition, but the reality of removal of temporary fill is that it’s quite challenging. Noble is doing a super job. I said it last week and I’ll say it again: The Gold-Standard continues!

Noble has manufactured and delivered over 100,000 tons of topsoil and over 100,000 tons of common fill meeting our stringent contract Specifications. I can confidently recommend Noble Excavating, Inc. as a solid and reliable supplier and experts in their field.

Gary H.PRI ER, Project Manager

I have had the opportunity to work with Noble Excavating on numerous municipal infrastructure projects. The projects have included water & sewer pipelines, pumping stations, storage tanks, water wells & pumps, smaller utility buildings, street and road restoration and construction, sidewalks, and curb & gutter. Projects have typically ranged in size from $1M - $4M in construction costs. Noble Excavating has performed well on these projects and has constructed them according to the contract specifications. I would not hesitate to recommend the award of any similar type of contract to Noble Excavating.
